Do you want to know your body fat measurement?

Stop by the Campus Wellness office located in the lower level of the Strom Thurmond Wellness & Fitness Center, or call 576-9393.  Body fat estimations are free and are performed by measuring skinfolds using calipers.  The procedures for men and women are below:

Body Fat Range Definitions:

    - Essential fat: the level of body fat necessary to maintain normal body function

    - Athletic groups: the range of body fat of a well-trained athlete

    - Ideal fitness: the range of body fat associated with being in good physical fitness

    - Optimal health: the range of body fat associated with good health

    - Overfat: the range of body fat associated with average to fair health

    - Obese: the range of body fat associated with poor health
